Logic Puzzles

A logic puzzle hands you a few firm rules and asks you to figure out the rest. There is no luck to lean on and no trivia to know, just you and the board.

Barumba's six logic games are short, made for a phone, and fair. Fieldpost's solver checks that every daily grid has exactly one answer, Pourline's and Unblock's par comes from a real shortest solution, and every Minesweeper field can be cleared without a guess. Each game ranks in its own way: Fieldpost and Minesweeper by solve time, Pourline by pours, Unblock by slides, Coil Path by how much of the garden bed you cover, and Silk Spans by finished runs.

How the daily works here

At midnight PT the date picks today's star grid, garden bed, tubes, block yard, mine field and card deal, and everyone gets the same ones. Your best ranked try goes on that game's daily board. Fancy another go after that? Free Play lets you keep playing unranked, so you can test an idea without touching your rank.

The games

  • Fieldpost

    Logic puzzlesLogic

An eight-by-eight board split into eight coloured regions. Every row, column and region takes exactly one star, and stars may never sit next to each other, corners included. Cross off the cells you have ruled out and the stars start to show themselves. Undo is free, so a wrong idea only costs the seconds it took.

  • Coil Path

    Logic puzzlesLogicSpatial

Swipe and the caterpillar keeps crawling until something stops it, its own body included. Cover every open square of the garden bed and pick up the fruit in the order shown. Thinking two crawls ahead beats fast swiping, and undo takes back your last crawl if you box yourself in.

  • Pourline

    Logic puzzlesLogic

Coloured layers sit stacked in tubes, and you may only pour onto a matching colour or into an empty tube. Keep going until each tube holds a single colour. Today's par is the solver's best count and every undo counts as a move, so plan the order before you tip anything.

  • Silk Spans

    Logic puzzlesLogic

A spider-style card game: one pack dealt across ten piles, most cards face down. Stack cards one rank lower, and a same-suit run from king to ace leaves the table. Deal more cards when you are stuck, but which pile you empty first usually decides the run. You get three minutes.

  • Unblock

    Logic puzzlesLogicSpatial

Wooden blocks crowd a small yard and a red block is stuck in the middle row. Flat blocks slide sideways, tall ones slide up and down, and nothing jumps. Clear a path and slide the red block out through the right-hand gap. One slide is one move, and matching today's par is a perfect day.

  • Minesweeper

    Logic puzzlesLogic

Tap a tile to reveal it, and each number tells you how many mines touch that square. Flag the mines you are sure of, then clear every safe tile. Each daily field opens with a free patch and can be finished by reasoning alone, so read the numbers before you tap. One wrong tap ends the run.

Pick one if…

  • You would rather think than race: Pourline ranks by pours and Unblock by slides, not speed.
  • You like a clean deduction with one right answer: Fieldpost or Minesweeper.
  • You enjoy route planning or grew up on solitaire: Coil Path or Silk Spans.

Logic Puzzles FAQ

Do I ever need to guess?

Not in Fieldpost or Minesweeper: every grid and every field can be solved by logic alone. In Pourline, Unblock, Coil Path and Silk Spans, careful planning is what wins.

Is it the same puzzle for my friend?

Yes. Everyone who plays on the same PT day gets the same grid, garden bed, tubes, block yard, mine field and deal, so you can compare results fairly.

Where can I learn techniques?

Start with the Fieldpost strategy guide, then the tips page for each game. They explain the rules in plain words and never give away a day's answer.
